How to make an exception for Surfshark in Malwarebytes antivirus settings

This guide will help you make an exception for Surfshark on the Malwarebytes antivirus settings. 

You will need the Malwarebytes antivirus application and an active Surfshark subscription, which you can purchase on Surfshark pricing page.

 

Check out the following steps:

  1. Launch the Malwarebytes app and click on the cogwheel at the top-right corner.

  2. Select the Allow List tab.

  3. Select Add on the right-hand side.

  4. In the new pop-up screen, select Allow a file or folder.

  5. Click on the Select a folder option.

  6. Navigate to the Surfshark folder. The default location for Surfshark is This PC > Windows (C:) > Program Files (x86). Once you have the Surfshark folder highlighted, hit Select Folder.

  7. Make sure that the Exclude from all detections option is selected, and click Done.

  8. The Surfshark folder will appear on your Malwarebytes exception list.
